On Sunday 3rd September, Klub Dialogu school was an integral part of the 8th International Family Picnic, as organised by The Belgian Business Chamber together with Advantage Austria in Poland – Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy and the Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce. The event took place in Musuły and, despite the weather not necessarily being in our favour, was attended by nearly 400 people!
We set up outside, coats on with warm tea but smiling all the while. We had our own area with a table full of fun games, books and activities (all to be conducted all in Polish of course)! Children and adults came over to play our Polish games and some also grabbed the opportunity to take part in our small Polish lesson that we planned.
Overall, it was a really great day! We want to thank everyone who participated in this enjoyable and enriching experience. See you next time!
On the evening of Friday 1st September, Klub Dialogu school hosted a fun-filled, fantastic Northern Irish Evening (run and presented by Jonny, one of our students)!
The event consisted of a presentation about Northern Ireland, which included facts about its geographical structure, the history of Ireland and the subsequent divide, about famous people and not to mention interesting, quintessential Northern Irish cuisine!
Following this, there was an interactive quiz based on the facts we learnt, in which everyone who attended took part, with a prize of a Northern Irish beer at the end! Then came beer tasting and a trip to a traditional Irish pub to sample more Irish beer and to watch the football (actually, we watched 2 football matches simultaneously! Poland vs Denmark, and Northern Ireland vs San Marino).
Thank you to everyone who attended, and again to Jonny for organising an extraordinary event 🙂
On Friday, together with students and friends of Klub Dialogu, we went to the Wisla river for a campfire, games and simply to have fun… We all came together, sitting on deck chairs around a warm fire, and talked and laughed until the early hours of Saturday! We played our version of Chinese Whispers around the circle in a myriad of languages; Polish, English, Chinese and Greek to name a few!
This was the last event of our July summer calendar, and it was certainly memorable and wonderful. We now have a lot of new events in store for August and September coming up!
It`s wonderful when our students want to show their culture to other foreigners learning at our School ! Having Ukrainian Evening, one of our students from Venezuela invited us to SALSA workshop! We know how to teach Polish language and he knows how to move this extravagant dance 😊. The workshop took place at KLUB DIALOGU Polish for Foreigners School. It was a really great experience. The following Saturday we practiced it in Teatro Cubano Club. Now we can say that we teach Polish in salsa rhythm 😊.
This time we invited our students on a display of stereoscopic photos of Warsaw in the 19th and 20th century. Massive Kierbedź Bridge, trams slowly gliding through Krakowskie Przedmieście, market in Sewerynów or people walking in Ujazdowski Park. These and many other pictures of old Warsaw are to see in the Kaiserpanorama (Photoplasticon).
After seeing the exhibition we talked about the differences between the old Warsaw and the modern one during our Polish classes at KLUB DIALOGU School, Polish for Foreigners.
40 people connected to KLUB DIALOGU School took part in an incredible canoeing adventure on Saturday, July, 8th. 20 canoes bravely overcame all obstacles which the Świder river put in our way… Stones, fallen trees, shallows and even fast streams didn`t frighten any of the canoe crew, and everybody (some of us completely wet 😊) persevered and arrived to the landing place.
Tired, but cheerful, smiling and happy we ate a barbecued meal and spent the rest of the stunning day playing football, volleyball, badminton; we grilled sausages on a campfire, sang songs and spent time all together. 😊 It was a really nice Saturday! Thanks for that to all of you!
During Polish classes there were a lot of memories and stories told by students. Such events make for developing not only Polish language in a real life but also integration between students on their lessons !
All our phonetic workshops help you appreciate the melody of the Polish Language. It doesn`t matter which Polish course you take: regular, semi-intensive or intensive, whether you learn the language at KLUB DIALOGU School or at your place in Warsaw and what level you present ! Everyone is very welcome😊: from beginners to advanced. Not only show we the sound of Polish but also teach how to properly pronounce ŻÓŁTA ŻABA ŻARŁ ŻUR and what is the difference between “cieszę się” and “czeszę się” 😊. If you`d like to learn it and show off your proficiency – come to our workshops and classes !
On 1st July, together with our students, we enjoyed Shakespeare’s spectacle; a part of the International Street Art Festival here in Warsaw. We saw great acts by both “Theatre Snow”, with its version of Shakespeare and, the night before, “Ondadurto Teatro,” acting its idea on a combination of different fairytales. Although the performances were in the Polish language, the stories were understandable and enjoyable for everybody 😊. It was also a great opportunity to get together with other students from KLUB DIALOGU Language School in Warsaw. Post spectacle drinks afterwards made this summer evening very special!
April, 23rd (Sunday), 4 p.m.

On Friday 24-th of March 2017 students and friends of KLUB DIALOGU could have visited an outstanding exhibition <COVERED/UNCOVERED Men and Women in Muslim Societies>. One of our students – Mohamed provided us with an insight to Muslims` lives.
We were introduced to traditional costumes, pottery, weapons and lifestyle. At the end Mohamed invited us for some delicious, national food and drink.
We would like to say thank you to all the people involved in organizing this event: Mohamed, Cultivate Foundation, Museum and all our guests !
